In March 2010, EmVest acquired a macadamia nut cracking facility in White River for the purpose of aiding the integration of a range of other existing nut production activities in the Fund’s portfolio.

The factory, now known as EmVest Nuts, has the capacity to crack 2 000 tons of macadamia nuts per annum. The nuts are supplied by EmVest farms and local producers.

As 98% of the produce is exported to European, American and Canadian markets, EmVest Nuts is focusing on improving all quality control measures in the production process to maintain a global production quality.
